The Hours
I finished The Hours yesterday, and I absolutely loved it. I waited so long to read this novel, but the wait was so worth it.
I read Mrs. Dalloway last summer, and it was interesting to see how much Michael Cunningham drew from Mrs. Dalloway. I really liked how Cunningham had the three-part structure.
The language was very, very beautiful. Cunningham captures Virginia Woolf's stream-of-consciousness style very effectively.
The way he wove all three stories together at the end was brilliant.
The Hours won the Pulitzer in 1999, and it's easy to see why. I strongly recommend this novel.

Back at school
I moved back to school today. It's really good to be back. We start classes on Tuesday.
This semester I'm taking Intro to Biology I. I'm not really sure what to expect, but hopefully it will go well. : )

My Very First Post!
Hi, everyone. This is my first attempt at blogging, so let's see how this goes...
I am a piano performance major, but I'm currently taking the premed requirements. I'm still not very sure about it, but I'm trying to keep my options open.
I love to read; currently I'm reading The Hours (I'm a sucker for Pulitzer Prize winners...) I've been waiting to read it for SO long, so if I don't love it, I will be absolutely devastated.
I'm very excited to go back to school in about a week.
